Give or take, give or take. When starting this project I knew there would be a lot of games to cover. I didn’t quite know just how many there would be and to see them all arrayed before me is, I have to admit, a little daunting. How can I cover this many games?
Truth is, I can’t. There’s no way. It’s just not feasible. The research alone would take several life times, I sure.
(Or a team?)
To give you some indication of the mammoth task we’re talking about here, take a look:
This is just a snap-shot of the games released since the early nineties across real time strategy, 4X, grand strategy, turn based strategy and turn based tactical games, and this list only goes to line 63. The RTS column extends all the way to line 629!
1316 strategy games. Who knew the genre was so vast?
Why am I telling you this? Because I want to ask what you wish to see covered. Either drop a line in the comments with the game or games you want to see or send an email to requests[at]classicstrategygames.com with the titles you would like me to cover. I will try and do ’em all.
One other question. What would you say constitutes a ‘classic’? Is it age alone or some other factor? Let me know below.
Thanks for reading. 🙂 If you did read, please let me know. It would be comforting to know I’m not just screaming into the void.
See you on the battlefield. Al.
